The fundamentals
Wordle is a closed information game. Every guess narrows a candidate list. The best players think in terms of how much each guess shrinks that list — not whether it might be the answer.

The second guess
Your second guess should be planned in advance based on what your opener tells you. A no-information opener (all gray) calls for a fresh 5-letter set; a single yellow calls for a confirmation play.
Reading tiles like a pro
Greens are obvious. Yellows are tricky — they tell you the letter exists but not where, and repeated letters change the rules entirely.
Double letters
About 20% of Wordle answers contain a double letter. If you're stuck with greens in the right spots and no candidates fit, suspect a double.
Hard Mode
Hard Mode requires you to use all confirmed greens and yellows in subsequent guesses. It limits flexibility but forces tighter thinking. Most experts play exclusively here.
