Transparency matters. Here is how our solver produces recommendations — and why those recommendations are meant to sharpen your reasoning rather than guarantee a win.
How recommendations are generated
- Letter frequency — weighting common letters and positions.
- Elimination logic — removing candidates inconsistent with known feedback.
- Pattern matching — filtering words against confirmed positions and constraints.
- Vocabulary analysis — considering plausible answer words and word commonality.
- Statistical approaches — estimating expected information gain to narrow the pool.
The candidate pool
The solver maintains the set of words consistent with your feedback so far and ranks guesses by how much, on average, each would reduce remaining possibilities.
Improvement, not guarantees
Strategies are intended to improve reasoning, not to guarantee success. Word lists and dictionaries vary by source, so recommendations are guidance. See our Methodology and Disclaimer.
