10 Uncommon Letters That Win Wordle Games

WordleMaven Team4 min read

Most Wordle answers stick to common letters. But knowing when an answer likely contains J, Q, X, Z — or unusual Y patterns — gives you an edge.

Y as a vowel

Y often appears as a vowel (LYNCH, GYPSY, NYMPH). When you have lots of consonants and no vowel green, try Y.

Double consonants

FF, LL, TT, ZZ — common in Wordle answers like FLUFF, BUDDY, ATTIC.

The K trap

K often appears at the end of words (BLACK, STICK, KNOCK). If you have all vowels green and need one consonant, K is a great test.
